Birthday Party FAQ

Can we add more guests to our party?

Yes! Additional guests can often be added, but capacity depends on your party package and must be coordinated with us in advance!

Here’s a quick breakdown:

Classic Parties- $20 per extra child, $5 per extra adult. *15 children maximum, additional adults must be pre-approved prior to your event.

Big Kid Parties- $20–$25 per extra child, depending on the guided art experience selected.

Private Weekday Parties- Capped at 24 guests total (adults + children combined) to ensure a safe and comfortable experience with weekday staffing levels. Small increases may be possible but must be approved in advance.

Private Weekend Parties- You’re welcome to purchase an upgraded guest count tier prior to your party! Please chat with us ahead of time so we can confirm staffing needs (up to 4 Campus Play team members may be scheduled, depending on guest count and setup requirements). Just reach out to us and we’ll help you make it work smoothly!

Can we bring our own decor?

Absolutely! Every party package includes 30 minutes of early access before your party begins to give you time to decorate and get set up.

At the end of the party, any décor you bring in must be removed and taken home with you. For Classic and Big Kid parties, all décor must stay within your designated party room.

If you’d like to attach anything to the walls or use adhesives, just check with us beforehand for approval and we’ll let you know what works best in the space.

We also love adding special touches! Before your event, we’ll ask about your party theme and create a custom table wrap for your party room featuring a Happy Birthday design and themed doodles to match your celebration 🎂🎨

Can we bring our own food/cake?

Yes! You’re welcome to bring your own food, snacks, cake, and treats, as they are not included in our party packages.

For ALL parties, food and drinks must stay within your designated party room(s).

For cakes/ice cream cakes- We will make room in our fridge/freezer to store it upon your arrival, just let us know prior to your party day!

Can we access Little Perks cafe during our party?

Little Perks Coffee Co. is open daily from 8:30 AM–4:00 PM and party guests are always welcome to grab coffee, drinks, or treats during your celebration!

We also offer pre-orders from some of our favourite local treats, including Helm Baked (100% gluten free), Boxcar Donuts, District Ice Cream, and more!

Important seasonal note (May–September): For all private weekday and weekend bookings during this time, Little Perks Coffee Co. remains open to the public. Your private party includes exclusive use of Campus Play Studio, while the Little Perks lobby (coffee, treats, and ice cream) is a shared space.

Is there anything we should share with our guests?

Here are a few helpful notes to share with your guests ahead of time!

We are a shoes-off, socks-on facility, so all guests will be asked to remove their shoes upon entry. There are a limited number of adult slippers available at the front counter, and you’re welcome to bring your own indoor shoes or slippers to change into for comfort.

For classic and big kid parties, we also ask that no strollers are brought into the studio space, as it can get quite crowded and we want to keep the area clean and safe for little ones who may be crawling or playing on the floor. Strollers can be safely tucked to the side in the designated areas.

Waiver requirement: All new visitors are required to complete our safety waiver before entering the play space. To help your party start smoothly and on time, we will send you an email prior to your party with the waiver link and kindly ask that you share it with your guests ahead of time so they can complete it in advance.

What is your cancellation policy?

We understand plans can change, so here’s how cancellations work:

More than 21 days before your party: Full refund minus a $15 administration fee.

8–21 days before your party: 50% refund.

7 days or less: No refund available.

In rare situations such as severe weather, power outages, or other unforeseen circumstances, we may need to modify or end a party early. In these cases, we will always work with you to reschedule or provide suitable alternatives.
