Spark Techies STEM Pop-Up Day at Campus Play 

Spark Techies is popping up at The Campus Play Studio for a special hands-on STEM experience. Their team of educators will be on-site hosting two high-engagement LEGO® robotics workshops—designed to spark curiosity, build confidence, and introduce kids to the world of engineering, coding, and robotics through play.

All sessions are led entirely by Spark Techies. Children will participate in the workshop and then be signed out at the end of their registered timeslot.

Workshop 1 & 2: Explore the Arctic with LEGO® SPIKE Essential

Hosted by Spark Techies at The Campus Play Studio – Kilworth, ON
Date: February 22, 2026 at 9:30 AM and 10:30 AM
Ages: Grades 1–3
Session Length: 45 minutes
Cost: $38 + HST per child 

Join Spark Techies for an exciting hands-on STEM adventure where kids become young engineers exploring the Arctic Circle.
Together, students will help Leo the LEGO® explorer learn about polar bears while building and coding a motorized snowmobile to help him travel across the ice.

Through LEGO® SPIKE Essential, children will:
• Build creative LEGO® models
• Learn simple coding through colorful drag-and-drop blocks
• Explore science and engineering concepts through story-driven problem-solving

Perfect for curious minds in Grades 1–3, this workshop blends play, learning, and creativity—helping kids build early confidence in STEM.

Limited to 10 participants per session.

Workshop 3: Build & Code Your Own Hopper Bot

Hosted by Spark Techies at The Campus Play Studio – Kilworth, ON
Date: February 22, 2026 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM
Ages: Grades 4–8
Session Length: 1 hour
Cost: $48+ HST per child 

Get ready to dive into robotics with LEGO® SPIKE Prime.
In this intermediate workshop, students will design, build, and code a “Hopper Bot”—a spring-powered robot that hops across the floor using motors and sensors.

Participants will:
• Build and customize their own Hopper Bot
• Code movement and control sequences
• Experiment with balance, motion, and engineering design
• Participate in friendly hopper distance and style challenges

A perfect workshop for tech-curious kids ready to extend their robotics skills and creativity.
